Hi everyone and welcome to the first edition of Wedding Wednesday. So excited to join the club :)
My apologies for the delay in posting, it's been a bit crazy around here. Wedding planning is already rockin' and rolling!
Now, on to to the proposal story. We dated for just short of four years, so you can imagine my excitement that it was finally happening!!
TGV and I were scheduled to have dinner with his family at their club on the night it happened. On our way there they called to say they would be running late, but for us to go on. We decided to walk around a bit and headed down to the dock . . . (they were hiding to take pictures)
After enjoying the beautiful scenery we started to walk back up and that's when TGV got down and one knee and very sweetly proposed. I, of course, said yes!
We then walked up over by the golf course to see his family and they had a red rose for me and champagne and T.'s sport coat. Right about now I was feeling underdressed (side ponytail?!?) and wishing I had a party dress on. But, at least I was wearing Lilly :)
We sipped champagne and took a few pictures while I was floating on cloud nine. Meanwhile a helicopter had landed on the golf course and I didn't think anything of it. I remember saying, 'oh look a Tour player must be coming in.'
Well, that helicopter was for us! It was my first helicopter ride and I was very excited. With my red rose and all, I felt like I was on the Bachelor.
Here I am still giddy with excitement and flying over the city!

My next surprise was when we landed at the Waldorf for dinner. They sure treated us well and we enjoyed a very yummy dinner, champagne and special desserts. And now we're looking forward to happily ever after!
The next day we left for vacation with my parents and I was so excited I got to celebrate with them. More champagne, hooray!
