Yoga at home

Hi friends, I hope everyone is having a great start to their week. I am getting so excited for Kappa Prep's Pink Swap!! I have been paired with Living In Dallas and Loving It and have had so much fun getting to know Kimmie and finding out things we have in common. I can't wait to continue my shopping!
In my New Year's post I had mentioned I wanted to start doing yoga. I have not been able to make it to a class yet, but in the meantime I have found a great Web site to get me started. Yoga Download is a wonderful site that will allow you to download free 20-minute yoga classes. They have a wide variety of levels, styles and lengths. For longer classes, the cost is anywhere from $2.95 to $5.95. The free 20-minute classes are perfect for someone who is interested in trying out yoga before committing to it, because it is quick and you can do it in the comfort of your own home. I am trying out a few of the free classes and then plan on purchasing a few of the longer classes.
When you download a class it is an MP3 file, so the great thing about it is you can play it on your computer or your iPod. With your download you also get a printable pose guide or they have slideshows. This would be great for someone who travels a lot and can just put a class on their iPod and get a quick workout in.
Last night I tried gentle hatha yoga, but I also want to try core yoga and power yoga. I did it before I went to bed and it felt good to stretch. I think this will be great for me to do until my dance rehearsals start back up again. I played the class on my computer and used the printed out pose guide. It was funny because I felt like I was having my own private class. It was very professional and easy to follow the poses. The only problem is that I got a little distracted since it was just me doing it in my room. Overall though, I think I will continue to do these at night before bed or maybe in the morning before work. How is everyone else doing with their resolutions?

Thanks so much for sharing this, sounds like exactly what I've been looking for. I've been doing ~25 minute workouts I recorded on my DVR from FitTV and want to add something to supplement it -these 20 min yoga videos sound perfect.

Thank you for sharing! Because I am kinda strapped for cash at the moment, I could use the extra practice. I also will do some of the workouts from FitTV :)

I'll definitely check this site out! I have several yoga and pilates videos I like to do, with my favorite being pilates.

I am a Carolina girl - South Carolinian. A friend of my husband's is good friends with a girl that went to Elon from DE. Small world!

I am very impressed! I have been doing well with mine, still plotting on how to get them done! I have to admit the only time I do yoga is at home if I'm at the gym I'm on the treadmill, I laugh in yoga classes!

Resolutions are SO tough! I'm actually getting ready to go to a Yoga class right now - just try a bunch of videos and you'll know which is one is right for you. I used to have an awesome one, but it was on VHS and I lost if forever ago, boo!
