Book Review

"Forget Diamonds — chocolate is a girl's best friend."
The Chocolate Lovers' Club by Carole Matthews

I found this delectable book at the library recently and it did not disappoint. If you love chocolate, you must read it! The story revolves around four friends and their experiences in love, life, friendship and chocolate, of course. Good friends and good chocolate are a must in life.

Here is a preview:
Some women are addicted to shopping, others can't get enough of champagne. Some like to curl up with a good book, and others want a night out on the town.
But there's just one thing Lucy Lombard can't live without, and that's chocolate — rich, creamy, sweet, delicious chocolate.
For her there's no substitute. There's nothing it won't cure, from heartache to headache, and she's not alone. Sharing her passion are her three best friends and fellow addicts: sweet, peace-loving Autumn, harried mom Nadia, and glamorous Chantal. Together they form a select group known as the Chocolate Lovers' Club. Whenever there's a crisis, they meet in their sanctuary, a cafe called Chocolate Heaven, and with a cheating boyfriend who promises he'll change, a flirtatious boss, a gambling husband, and a loveless marriage, there's always plenty to discuss.
By turns hilarious and heartrending, The Chocolate Lovers' Club brings together four unforgettable women from totally different worlds united in their passion for chocolate."

Warning: You will crave all kinds of delicious chocolate after reading this :) Enjoy!

Have you read shoe addicts anonymous - similar idea with shoes being the thing that brings them together. It's a great book!

I read this a couple of months ago and really liked it too. I agree it made me really want chocolate as I was reading. The things they eat at the cafe they all meet at sound simply mouthwatering!

BTW, the photo from the golf event looks divine! Oh, to be out in sunshine and warm weather...sigh. Sniff.

My first thought when I read this post was I could never read this book. I have the biggest sweat tooth and this book if I were to read it you would probably find me in my jammies and chocolate all over my face. Actually, that sound like a pretty good plan, I'll have to check it out.
