Organized in '09

As 2009 is quickly approaching, it's time to think about getting a new planner. We all lead such busy lives so it's important to stay organized, but why not do it in style. I don't know about you, but I get excited about filling in a fresh new planner at the start of a year. There are so many days to be filled with travel, dinners with friends, volunteer activities, holidays and who knows what else. And I guess work projects, too. It's all about balance, right? ;) So, here's to kicking off 2009 and organizing in style!

J. Crew Pocket Calendar $16.99 (was $29.50)
Comes in metallic or patent and has a satin ribbon marker. Includes weekly and monthly calendar pages, a list of holidays, address book pages and major city maps. It is pocket size and perfect for someone looking for a planner to keep in their purse. Comes in a few different colors.

Vera Bradley Pocket Agenda $15
Features monthly and weekly spreads, 2009 and 2010 holidays, birthday and anniversary, note and personal goals pages and a world time zone map. It is also on the smaller side and will fit in a purse.

Whomi Compact Agenda $25 (www.seejanework.com)
Unfolds so that weekly calendar pages are on the top half for appointments/notes and color-coded rows for work and project schedules are on the bottom half. It has yellow reminder lines so you can fill in event dates or notes to yourself and perforated corners on the lower right help you find the current week. It also has a clear vinyl cover and a snap closure in case you want to inclose receipts, notes or lists inside it. The picture shows what it looks like when open and closed. It's great for multi-taskers.

Kate Spade Small Desk Calendar $20
I think most readers are familiar with this planner and have seen it on other blogs, but it is a larger size and still small enough to fit in most purses and small totes. It also includes monthly and weekly spreads.

Donovan Designs Weekly Planner Pad $12 (www.thepapercafe.net)
For those looking for something instead of a calendar to throw on their desk at work, this is great for filling in tasks and assignments for the week because you can just throw out the page and start fresh the next week. It comes in fun colors and will surely brighten up a cubicle.

One of these choices (or two!) will be great to help you get organized in the new year. I ordered the Kate Spade planner and plan on using that, but I really like the small size of the J. Crew pocket calendar so maybe I'll get that one as well. Have a wonderful Thursday!

You know I love this post!! So many pretty planners.. I will take one of each!

I have no idea where I got it! I had the flu shot but it definitely felt very "flu-like"

At least I was able to catch up on my day-time tv!

These are cute, but I've been using a WeekDate calendar for two years. It is awesome. You only write your repeating things one time, but see them all the time next to your daily appointments. I buy mine online at weekdate.com. Love it.

I have the Pink and Red Kate Spade planner and I would be a MESS without it!

I love all of them! That would be such a hard choice. Too bad I use iCal instead!

I love that J.Crew one! And now they are having their extra 20% off sale, so it would be even cheaper!

What a great post! I had the Vera Bradly calendar last year, but it was the larger size. I really liked it, but I don't like the colors available for 2009. I think I am probably going to go with the Kate Spade.

Enjoy your weekend!
