Friends are fabulous

Hello friends! I am back from the Biltmore and had a wonderful weekend in Asheville and Charlotte. It was so nice to reunite with some of my closest friends from college. The weekend was full of catching up, sharing stories, laughter, fun adventures and good times. We started our trip out in Charlotte where we had lunch at a cute cafe and looked around some shops. We had a great sushi dinner and a fun night out where we ran into many people from Elon. I was so excited that I finally got to try Firefly, the sweet tea vodka. It was as delicious as they say! We arrived at the Biltmore Saturday morning. It was gorgeous! We had a fun time on the tour, checking out all the rooms and thinking about all the history behind everything. I loved seeing it all dressed up for Christmas. Unfortunately I do not have pictures because it rained a lot this weekend. At the Biltmore, we also took a tour of the winery and did a little shopping. The rest of our time in Asheville was spent wandering among the shops and going to some fun restaurants. We really enjoyed Early Girl Eatery, where we went for brunch on Sunday. It had some great southern specialties and was quite yummy. Overall, it was a wonderful trip! Before we know it, it will be time to plan for our Girl's Trip 2009. We're thinking something tropical this time. A big thank you goes out to my fabulous friends for a great weekend!

So glad you loved Biltmore. It really puts you in the spirit to go home and decorate every single thing in the house with live greenery, etc. :)

I am so glad you had fun with friends!! I think one of the best things about planning weekends like that are the traditions become cemented into your yearly plans. I live for my girls weekends esp. since I no longer live near everyone else! Happy planning girls trip '09!! :)
